The Venue

The wedding will be held in Kadavu, a tranquil resort in Calicut. High on aesthetics, architect Tony Joseph has extensively used local woods in the interiors and tiles for ceiling. Its architecture dexterously weaves Kerala’s building traditions with modernity in the rooms. If you are looking to explore north Kerala with all its Arab trading and Vasco da Gama links, Kadavu is without doubt a place to visit. The luxurious resort cum hotel is located in a sprawling nine acre plot along the side of the backwater, a charming location with groves of swaying, graceful coconut palms facing the dancing ripples on the water. Its unique and languorous backdrop makes it an idea gateway, a tranquil spot away from it all.
Calicut (Kozhikode) is the erstwhile capital of the northern Malabar coast. Calicut found a place in the World History with the discovery of Sea Route to India in 1498 by the Portuguese navigator Vasco Da Gama. Vasco Da Gama landed at the Kappad sea shore with three vessels and 170 men. A monument has been constructed to commemorate the historical landing.
